Post-Afrofest at the Lula Jul. 11 & 12
Afrofest is over for the year, but there are two nights of great African music at the Lula tonight and tomorrow
Monday: Thomas Mapfumo & (most of) The Blacks Unlimited
They closed out Afrofest Sunday night, and you can now catch them in an intimate club setting.
Two of Mapfumo's band members didn't get into the country, so members of the excellent Tich Maredza band ("the local guys" Mapfumo called them) are filling in.
